We have two different voices for this question. The first one was recorded by a human, and the second is an AI voice.

Speech synthesis is an astounding process that trains computers by converting texts into waveforms or voice samples through extensive study of recorded audio files. Early forms used concatenation techniques where they would take bits and pieces out of different individuals' speeches in order to create something new while newer versions are now turning towards neural networks which produce synthetic voices without any need for prerecorded speech data. As the human voice is judged on how natural and intelligible it sounds, speech synthesis relies heavily upon its resemblance to humans. The success of this technology can be measured by both how well a machine's "voice" communicates with our minds and whether or not we are able to discern that it isn't really a person speaking at all but rather something artificial.

This breakthrough has completely changed the way people listen to podcasts, audiobooks, and other spoken material. Now with a few clicks of your mouse, you can hear someone as if they were sitting right next to you telling their own story or experience which never before was possible without using separate recordings for each individual speaker's voice. Recently it became much easier for podcast listeners/readers by allowing them access to new voices that would have been otherwise unavailable; even ones from individuals who weren't initially part of any training set! This now allows users more variety in what speakers are available--even though some could argue there is still no option perfect enough yet either (which may be true). Even so, this advancement should not go unnoticed.
