Clearer than a window – I would love to see Vagrant – I've had more "luck" with it's config & find it more compact than Docker.
What is the difference between docker and git? Os docker REALY nessesary or its just another thing to make your life easier?
This is one of the best explanations of docker and docker compose I've ever heard.
My first docker is running a pi hole on windows 10
Great video @Fireship. Just one question, I could not get the port issue that was fixed by providing port in docker run command. The docker image was listening on port 8080 due to expose in docker file. But why it could not return anything when run locally?
Thank you so much for this video. Trying to get ahead of the game as a computer science junior in college.
DUDE!!!!!!! thank you for simplifying this a bunch U da real mvp
You're videos are so great and beautiful that even when I already know most about the video topic or I don't want to know about it I still watch the video. Great work! Keep going!
a course 🙂
imposter syndrome is the only reason I am here
This is the best explanation about Docker in a few minutes. 🙂
does anyone know what is the performance hit when using docker against running the process on bare metal?
I recommend 0,75 speed
Docker Pee Ess. PS is a UNIX/Linux command to list running processes on a computer, together with data on ownership and ID tags, and so on. Seems Docker copied it in order to list processes running within it, which makes a lot of sense tbh.
got lost at 4:30
Java memory model tells Docker doesn't solve 'it works on my machine' as it relies on underlying hardware architecture
You get an upvote because this was an awesome and simple way to do overall docker!
I'll look through the channel but you should do a kubernetes deployment with Config maps and secrets too. 🙂
Lol that intro, so true
The video is running too fast
😳
"The leading cause of imposter syndrome among developers is not knowing docker"
You had me in the first 4 seconds. This hits too close to home
Gooey..
Dockers pssss…. 😂👍
supercharged virtual environments?
I'm surprised at how good the auto captions are for this video lol
This video was very helpful. Thank you.
Great starting point.
The video is so helpful, but he speaks so so fast, I needed to change the speed to 0.75 😀
omg the shame at 0:07, story of my life!
I don't Know who knows more if you or google
Great. You made it so simple.
I mean tbh you were already one of my favorite youtubers, but you had to go that extra mile with 2:11!! 😂😂😂
And I love your videos and I love you
Hey guys, could anyone explain why there's a * sign at the end of a file name pretty please? 😀
Docker for cats:
Just run the command "docker pspspspspspsps"
is Docker CLI only, or can I get a user window? Otherwise its not comparable to a VM, I dont get it?
Now that's how you explain things, thanks man!
Oh, I really admire your channel
Loved it … Awesome content
yoo is this stephen grider? 😀
I never like or comment any post in social media but You're Just Awesome Buddy, Keep up the Work 🙂
… this was everything I needed, quick, straight to the point, very dumbed down. Loved it. Subscribed. Thank you.
Junior Dev -> Windows, Vagrant / running local
Senior Dev -> Linux / WSL, docker, unit test
Not based on time based experience.
you talk too fast
I had a problem running the docker-compose: "volume must be a mapping not a string" so I had to change the last line in the docker-compose.yml file to "db-data: {}" – not sure if that's right or not
They way he pronounced "GUI" before "docker ps" is more hilarious😂😂😂😂
This had to have been the easiest understanding of docker ever
Love this format. Glad I didn't need to sit through a 2 hour video to get the gist of things
