I am in the UK. I picked up a brush only six years ago having never painting in my life although I have always had an interest in colour and interior design. I have sold a few paintings over the last five years and lots of cards as I make these also. After being made redundant from my full time job two years ago, I have now jumped right in with selling my art. I have a great website and a gallery studio which I had built. I have had to work really hard day in and day out to promote my work. I have learnt that people need to get familiar with you and see your work frequently before they buy. I consider myself to be a bit different and try to think outside of the box. I am not expensive as I want to sell so I can make space for more. Thanks for your invaluable tips and insight into your life and career. All the best to you.
Hi! Loved your video! I took notes and have somethings to readjust, move around and add. Thank you for sharing. I will soon follow you on Instagram. I also do abstract work but not full-time as I work in the airport industry. It has picked up tremendously haven't had time to paint. 🙁 Definitely inspired and motivated after watching your video.

Hi Lori! A lot of what you're talking about sounds like some basic SEO (search engine optimization) tips. You can take free classes in this online if you'd like to ramp up your efforts 🙂
Thank you for sharing ❤️
Hi Lori, although I'm a scifi/fantasy artist, I've learned so much useful tips and gained insights from this video.
Thank you for being so candid and open in sharing your struggles and challenges. I really appreciate it.
Do keep up the awesome work, Lori!
Just had to pop in and say hi from up the road in North Bay ON! I'm a new subbie and fascinated by your art so I'm going to explore your social sites a.k.a. stalk 😜. Love your work and your spirit ❤🇨🇦
Though I wasn’t looking for ‘this’ it was very usefull and gave me back some energy to start posting again with new idea’s. Thank you Lori.
Thank you for sharing your story. I have been an artist for a long time, but I need to make money doing this. Your video has given me some ideas about what I can do to actually sell my art. And I like your artwork too.
Thank you🥰
What do you mean with not using third partied apps? To make your art, to edit the photos of your art and post it? I didnt quite undertand that. And also, you dont use your name on your instagram? I dont think that was very well explained. Your channel and ideas are great and I got very interested. Thanks!
Great video Lori ! Thank you so much …. it opens my eyes about so many important things ………………
Lori,
This might be a coincidence, but it worked! I followed 3 steps you recommended for my Instagram account.
(2 steps from here, and the other step from your other video titled "MAKE MONEY SELLING ART ONLINE + HOW TO GROW YOUR ART CAREER – by using SEO & increase organic growth")
1) I changed my description name to keywords that described the type of art I do instead of my name.
2) I posted a photo of me and my art (I almost never do)
3) heart & replied to every comment I possibly can
It has only been 2 days, but my post has more likes than any of my other original art! (I usually thought I need to post fan arts of famous existing IPs to get noticed)
I'm only just starting to plan on selling and getting on Etsy to sell my art commercially…. and will follow more of your techniques.
I will post more feedbacks when I get more hits and successes! Thank you- thank you- thank you, Lori! You are a gem!
Howard
