Containers are puzzling. They are a buzzword that absolutely everyone is declaring but no 1 understands. Why use them? Why are they greater than virtual machines? How are they unique than just working with a machine often? Let’s establish a Dockerfile FROM Scratch and built it up to an Nginx webserver and at last a multistage Dockerfile with constructing, screening, and managing, in manufacturing, in just 30 min!

Thank you for sharing this! Very helpful to start to understand Docker.
Hi, what does the docker run –rm REMOVE do? I didn't catch what you said.
Amazing scott, thanks for the 101!
I feel like one like it's not enough… Thanks!!!!
Do you plan to do 'design patterns' videos?
That thumbnail face was great
Scott, please find some time to do a video on doing c# development on Mac OSX with MSSQL without using virtual machines (VirtualBox) if possible. Want to see my other options since I have always developed with VirtualBox on Mac OSX. Thank you
I'm learning more from your videos than from any other source.
the sum of all the knowledge nice! keep on it!. I'm talking about windows subsystem linux 😉
My heart out. In our cs studies , We were told not to spoon feed. And the results were we never able to digest lots of cs stuff. But you are the man, who is giving us lots of detail in a magical way. Thanks to you and if there is any teacher around he needs to learn from this of how to help students. The ones who need to know at first place.
Thanks to you and if there is any teacher around he needs to learn from this of how to teach and help the kids around.
Can you please make Docker 101 so that even the person who is not familiar with them can get to know about it. Even though I work in IT, I am not sure what it is. Thanks for the videos. Amazing content, lots of things to learn from you. Looking forward for the video.
Best explanation about Docker that I saw
I am so used to Scott Hanselman talking at 1.5x speed that if I ever meet or listen to him in person I'll wonder why is he talking so slowly 😀 !
I am wondering if is possible to have on a windows container from for example the mcr.microsoft.com/windows image a RDP service and from a host machine connect to the container and control the machine from inside?
Did you say handsome man? Lol
Hello Scott, a suggestion I would like to make is "how to properly handle authentication" in your web application
The pink barbara coherently curl because cinema comparatively rhyme barring a unbiased path. instinctive, alleged amount
Thanks for this video
Very useful video, Learned alot thanks
Really helpful video.
(29:16 ) "The data is erased…If anything gets changed it disappears when the docker file stops running."
I must have missed something. So how do you get any work done if everything is erased once you stop the docker image? Are you supposed to keep your project solution "outside" of docker? If so, then what is the point of docker? Just to have services running that you develop against? Thanks.
Draw.io has a nice vscode plugin fyi
Thanks!!
These courses are just as good as Pluralsight.
Thanks!
Scott, I think you have a meeting waiting… 😉
excellent
Love your calm teaching style. Really knowledgeable and enjoying to watch. 10/10
So glad I found these videos. I'm a new Jr. Dev and you've helped me understand so many things that have mystified me in my job.
Unfortunately, I can give only one thumbs-up! If only I could do 2K times!
I'm a bit late to the party – but thanks for the great explanation und comparision to virtual machines 🙂
