In this tutorial, I will take you by:
01:40 – Why you require a specialist writer site (if you want to consider your author vocation critically)
03:07 – Why pay back for internet hosting as an alternative of working with a free of charge site
05:39 – What is a domain name and what is hosting?
07:49 – Why I suggest Bluehost if you are just starting off out (and how I use it myself)
[Please note, I am an affiliate of Bluehost so if you use my link: then I receive a small percentage of the sale at no extra cost to you. Of course, there are lots of other options!]
09:33 – How to set up your new web site on Bluehost — quick and uncomplicated!

Thanks a mil.
Very helpful! Now if I can just decide whether to use a pen name or not … Ergh!
Do I need an author website since I only have 2 books and will never update the site and no one will ever find it?
This helped so much.
At the moment I have written one book but more are in the pipelines so my question is, can I add my youtube videos which are in line with my current book and wordpress blog which is also along the same theme on my website?
My site is telling me that a PHP update is required. It says, "WordPress has detected that your site is running on an insecure version of PHP." Is this something I should immediately worry about and if so, do you have a video for that? I did look at it, and the instructions are very confusing.
If you post your own copyrighted art on your bluehost website is it protected from being ripped / downloaded?
I really thank you for this video. Your presentation was so good that I went and purchased the service with Bluehost using your affiliate link. At the moment, I'm watching your 2nd video of this series to build my site.
Hi There, thank you for your very helpful video, I do have one question though, when you speak about WordPress do you mean WordPress.org with the open source software or WordPress.com the website builder. Apologies if this question is a little silly, I'm just a bit confused on this point, Kind Regards, Gearóid
Very good presentation!!!
